3D Art Generalist

Immerse is leading the field in enterprise VR. We believe in the power of Virtual Reality to make training, learning, and collaboration easier and more effective for everyone. Our platform and groundbreaking work with some world-leading companies including Facebook, DHL, Shell, Accenture and GE, is driving adoption in the enterprise VR sector.

Based on this success, we have also recently secured a significant new funding round to continue to develop our VR platform and power bigger and better things in the future.

Some of our core platform offerings include multiplayer, distribution (across multiple VR hardware and web), data capture, and user playback. This allows developers to build scalable training and learning applications, used to power virtual submarines, oil refineries, medical rooms, rugby pitches, aircraft hangars and much more.

Immerse is a friendly, inclusive, and rapidly expanding development team. We’re at the forefront of enterprise VR, double finalists for this year’s VR awards, and motivated to see the benefits VR can bring to the way people learn.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a 3D generalist who has a lot of experience working within Unity.

This role is for someone who has great generalist skills in modelling, texturing, rigging and animation. This person will be a key member of our art team which is small but highly flexible, offering support in all these areas. This person may occasionally be lead or solo artist on projects and so must give us confidence that they can be positioned as so.

This person will be expected to create, rig and animate 3D Assets that are appropriate for specifically targeted VR systems. Careful optimisation considerations will be essential as projects will range from high end VR (e.g Oculus Rift S) to mobile VR (e.g Oculus Quest).

Inside unity they will be required to import assets, create materials, setup prefabs, setup scenes, build environments and further animate inside unity timeline. Being able to create shaders, particles or other VFX is a huge plus.

Other expectations will be to work within a JIRA, ticked-based environment where effort is planned and put into sprints.

It’s important to us that this person is a nice fit within our environment. Working and adapting well to small, highly flexible teams across multiple projects will require good communication and planning skills with a positive and supportive attitude to help projects move along smoothly.

As a first step we will want to see your up-to-date portfolio. We would then want to move onto a face-to-face interview to review this and talk about your wider experience.
