Ian Livingstone pays a visit to the Immerse office

WE WERE THRILLED TO RECEIVE A VISIT FROM IAN LIVINGSTONE TODAY AT THE IMMERSE OFFICE.

Ian Livingstone is one of the founding fathers of the games industry in the UK, having co-founded the Games Workshop in 1975 and launched major game franchises such as Dungeons & Dragons and Lara Croft:Tomb Raider. He has received much recognition for his work, including an OBE in 2006, a BAFTA Special Award, and a CBE in 2013. Ian is planning to set up the Livingstone School in Hammersmith, a free school with a focus on Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise. Ian has also played a key role in transforming the school’s ICT curriculum to ensure that coding skills become a core element.

Immerse Learning’s CEO, Tom Symonds, met Ian on a UKTI trade delegation to China in October 2013 with George Osbourne. Immerse was one of 15 British companies singled out as exciting new companies to watch within the technology industry.

Ian has come on board as an advisor to Immerse Learning and will be working with the team to provide guidance on the development of our new learning platform.
